Still fresh off his AMVCA win; Blossom chats with Africa Magic on his big win, his family and his plans for the future.
Blossom Chukwujekwu has been acting for years now but his big screen debut did not come until 2013 when he starred as Tunde Kulani in Michelle Bello’s romcom Flower Girl. He has gone on to feature in several blockbusters including Knocking on Heaven’s Door as well as the hit telenovela A Taste of Love. He won in the Best Supporting Actor category at the 2015 AfricaMagic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
How does it feel winning an AMVCA?
Still can’t explain but gratitude is my attitude right now.
Did you see this coming?
I tried to be hopeful but “liver go sha fail” at times. That category was the toughest. We bless God.

How did your family react when you won?
Mum called immediately. They still aren’t over it yet.
What will you be spending your prize money on?
Well, when it comes, tithe first.
Which do you prefer: TV series of feature films?
They both come with unique experiences. I love movies sha.
How rewarding has the journey been as an actor?
We’re grateful. Hey, look I got the AMVCA.
Who do you look up to in the industry?
Uncle Sam Dede. RMD. Desmond Elliot. Majid Michel. Ramsey Nouah.
What is the weirdest thing a fan has said to you?
Ah! Zip it!
Any plans to settle down soon?
Of course! Isn’t it cool that one day you’d have two people running around the house? And they are half you and half the one you love.
What next can we expect from you?
Coming soon? A Place Called Happy by Dolapo Oni. Nse Ikpe-Etim, Femi Jacobs and I are in The Visit. Gbomo Gbomo Express has got Ramsey Nouah, Gideon Okeke, Shaffy Bello,Gbenro Ajigbade and a lot more. Then, there is another film which stars the amazing Adesua Etomi, Oyekunle Remi and I.
What three shows showing on DStv would you like to feature in?
I love movies sha, but Empire and The Fixer.
