Bimbo Akintola Plays Dr. Adadevoh in New Biopic

Renowned American actor, Danny Glover and Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akintola would be leading the cast of a biopic in honour of late Dr Adadevoh, who died after coming in contact with Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian responsible for the spread of Ebola in Nigeria.

Sources disclosed that the biopic is a project that has given birth to a partnership between Terra Kulture boss, Bolanle Austen Peters, Steve Gukas and Dotun Olakunrin.

It was further gathered that the movie will center around the recent Ebola crisis that hit Nigeria several months back.

Further details on the movie have not been released by the producers, who are looking at a 2016 premiere for the movie as talks are currently on with thespians that have been penned down for production.

Dr Adadevoh was the Nigerian doctor who oversaw the treatment of Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian national who brought the Ebola virus to Nigeria. She died of the virus on 19 August 2014, one of eight fatalities out of 20 cases (each linked to Sawyer) in the country. Without her dedication, the disease would have spread across Nigeria and many more people would have died from Ebola. The significance of her actions, and those of her hospital colleagues, cannot be overstated.
