The Durban Film Mart (DFM) is inviting aspirant and amateur filmmakers to submit their projects for DFM’s seventh edition.
Full length feature and documentary films with a director and a producer looking for funders, distributors, co-producers or distributors are encouraged to submit their projects. Selected projects will undergo a two-day packaging and mentoring programme followed by two days of meetings with film funders, buyers and distributors.
A selection committee will select 10 fiction feature and 10 documentary feature films that are in development to partake in the DFM programme. The DFM programme is a joint venture by the Durban Film Office, eThekweni’s industry development unit and the Durban International Film Festival (DIFF) to promote African cinema and facilitate the collaboration between African filmmakers. Programme alumni have showcased their films abroad at film festivals, grown their network and found future employment.
Submissions close on December 14.
