Yul Edochie Launches Film Academy

Nollywood actor and son of famous Veteran Nollywood actor (Pete Edochie), Yul Edochie Presents has launched his own film academy- “Yul Edochie Academy”

The Yul Edochie Academy is a subsidiary of Yul Edochie Arts World which is all owned by the talented actor.

Yul Edochie founded the academy as a training ground for actors/actresses.

According to him, his dream is to build an army of well grounded, focused and professional actors and actresses, mentor them and steer them to greatness. A dream that was nurtured as a result of the decline in quality and professionalism of upcoming Nigerian actors and actresses.

The Yul Edochie Academy offers aspiring actors the opportunity to meet face to face and interact with Nollywood superstar actor and director Yul Edochie, learn from him and get connected to the mainstream of Nollywood.

Yul Edochie is a graduate of dramatic arts from the prestigious University of Port Harcourt. He made his acting debut in 2005 with the Movie ”The Exquires” by Zelex Productions. The movie featured many top Nigerian actors like Justus Esiri, Enebeli Elebuwa, Clarion Chukwurah, Chidi Mokeme & Robert Peters, Directed by Kabat Esosa. In 2007, he got his break when he starred alongside two Nigerian heavyweight actors, Genevieve Nnaji and Desmond Elliot in a movie titled “Wind Of Glory” by Annex Merchandise. Instantly he won the hearts of many movie lovers in Nigeria, Africa and beyond.

Since then he has appeared in over 100 movies and Tv Series including The Palace with Liz Benson and Tinsel in Nigeria and South Africa and has gone on to become one of the most celebrated and sought- after actors of his generation in Nigeria.

He has won Best New Actor in the 2009 City People Awards, Best Actor 2013 City People Award, and Nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in the 2012 Nollywood Movies Awards and Best Lead Male in the 2014 Nollywood Movies Awards
