Nigerian actress, content developer, creative writer, presenter, and producer – Oreka Godis is currently representing Nigeria (Nollywood) at the ongoing WIPO conference in Geneva, Switzerland.
She’s on the panel discussing – ‘Film: sustaining the film industry in the digital environment’.
The global film industry is undergoing a huge transformation as traditional distribution channels – such as cinema – continue to expand in some markets while others see a shift to new digital delivery platforms. This is accompanied by a shift in the value chain as digital lowers costs, disrupts traditional business strategies and introduces new opportunities for smaller players.
Also on the panel is Uloma K. Onuma from iROKOtv.
WIPO is the global forum for intellectual property services, policy, information and cooperation. Their mission is to lead the development of a balanced and effective international intellectual property (IP) system that enables innovation and creativity for the benefit of all.
