Gidi blues is set for its international premiere at the 2016 UrbanWorld film festival.
Produced by Award winning film maker Femi Odugbemi, it stars Nigerian singer and record label owner, Banky W alongside Gideon Okeke, Hauwa Allahbura, Lepacious Bose, Daniel Lloyd, Tina Mba, Aduke, and veteran actress Bukky Wright.
It tells the story a playboy from an affluent family and an unusual young lady who devotes herself to her work; their encounter drags him into a whirlwind experience that unravels his world.

Known as the filmmaker’s festival, where it’s all about celebrating and supporting amazing independent films, Urbanworld will be hosted at AMC Empire 25 in midtown Manhattan, with Opening Night at the SVA Theater in Chelsea. Last year, Urbanworld featured filmmakers from around the world screening over 80 films, including red carpet studio premiere “Beyond The Lights” starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Nate Parker, Minnie Driver, and Danny Glover.
The Urbanworld Film Festival was founded in 1997 by Stacy Spikes, and it is the largest internationally competitive festival of its kind, hosted in New York City. The five-day festival includes narrative features, documentaries, short films, spotlight screenings and conversations, live staged screenplay readings etc.
