The trailer for Banana Island Ghost is out and it is both intriguing and engaging as it is confusing.
From the creators of hit TV series, Before 30, comes Banana Island Ghost (BIG). The movie stars the hilarious Chioma ‘Chigul’ Omeruah, as the soul mate of a ghost (Patrick Diabuah), too afraid to go to Heaven. It also features Kannywood Superstar, Ali Nuhu, Television host, Ozzy Agu, and Nollywood veteran, Saidi Balogun.
For many reasons, it looks like a pretty impressive Nollywood movie. Thanks to the stunning cinematography, the impeccable use of music and the impressive fighting scenes, the movie has a lot going for it. Except, there’s one BIG problem with this trailer. Despite the relatively long trailer, the storyline seems all over the place. All we see are HD cameras and the sudden appearance of an Indian Ninja. The transition from one storyline to a bunch of others disrupts the flow.
Still, we’re eager to see this movie as this is Biola Alabi’s debut feature film, and she has a reputation for churning out impressive work.
Banana Island Ghost is officially out August 4th.
