The Women’s Film Club serves as a platform to make independent cinema accessible to the Nigerian public through film screenings, forums, and related events.

‘Bad Market’, a contemporary short film directed by Paul Gaius, will be screened at the Ford Foundation, Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos.

The short film is about a 14-year-old runaway girl, Eno, who was trafficked to Lagos by Chike, a ruthless pimp/con artist, who intends to profit from her seeming innocence.

The film screening will feature a Q&A and discussion session with the director with the aim of promoting culture, spreading knowledge through insight and sparking new conversations about pressing social issues relating to women.

The screening will take place on Friday, June 16. It will hold by 3 pm while another one will take place at 5 pm.
