Nigeria’s Biggest Talent Hub Selected for SLA Accelerator Programme

SLA has been selected for this year’s She Leads Africa (SLA) Accelerator program. She Leads Africa received applications from over 200 Start-ups from across Nigeria this year. The selected Entrepreneurs were evaluated based on their traction in the market, management team and vision to grow and scale across Africa.

The SLA Accelerator is a 3-month program designed to identify, support and fund the next generation of Africa’s brightest entrepreneurs. This year, the program is focusing on businesses from the Agriculture, Retail, E-Commerce, Technology, Creative and Beauty industries.

Selected businesses in the creative industry include: RED BUTTON – an African print fashion line for career women; TAELLO – a modern African furniture brand for the elite; PREGGIES: a fashion solution for expectant and nursing mothers; NETIMA HAPPY FEET – a unisex sneakers line that promises great comfort; MMG CREATIONS –specially crafted jewelry for African women; and AUDITIONS.NG – a platform that helps agencies and casting directors manage their casting calls in Nigeria and find the right talents for their projects.

The entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to pitch their businesses at an Investor Demo Day in November and compete for N2 million investment from SLA along with other business support services.

Accelerator Participants will spend the next three months working on their business strategy and growth while networking with investors and potential partners.
