Actors and filmmakers from Hollywood, Nollywood, and Bollywood are expected to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) to be held in Hyderabad next month, a senior official of the Telangana government has said.
The GES, with the theme ‘Women First, Prosperity for All’, will bring together approximately 1,500 entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem supporters from around the world for two-and-a-half days of training and mentoring sessions, networking, and investment matchmaking, as per an official statement issued earlier.
On November 29, a session, titled ‘From Hollywood to Nollywood to Bollywood: The Path to Moviemaking’, will be held.
The Nigerian film industry is popularly referred as Nollywood.
“While arts and entertainment are attractive to people, many lack a full understanding of the business behind the industry and how to successfully and profitably tap into the creative economy. In this session, delegates will learn from panelists who are turning art and entertainment into sources of revenue, jobs, and wealth creation,” the website of GES said.
