Nigerian actresses, such as Rita Dominic ( Desecration) and Belinda Effah ( Talkingdolls) would slug it out in the African Actress of the Year category, while Nigeria’s Joseph Benjamin ( Desecration), Daniel K Daniel ( Talking Dolls), Daniel Lloyds ( Help) and Rotimi Salami ( Notyetmarried) compete to win in the category of Best African Actor of the Year.
According to her, AMAA ought to have earned consistent and fundamental support, based on its contribution to the development of the film industry and the leverage it has given to filmmakers on the continent and beyond.
The awards are expected to be the biggest gathering of industry practitioners, top leading Black British filmmakers and Nollywood stars will be honoured.
