MultiChoice Welcomes 20 New Students to Its Talent Academy

The MultiChoice Talent Academy has announced twenty students who will undergo a fully funded year-long training programme for young people desirous of making careers in the film and television industry.

Ghana has a mere 6 -10 screens at the cinema level. You are competing with foreign films for those few screens. You are also dealing with biased cinema bookers. Producers are negotiating the screens themselves, not through a distributor. The share is 70/30 in favor of the cinema after 2 weeks.

“Potato Potahto” to Premiere at Cannes Film Festival

Its first screening will be at the world’s largest film festival, the Cannes Film Festival in France. After which it would be screened in Ghana, South Africa and Nigeria .
