In the sequel, the groom’s brother, Nonso, has continued his romance with Deirdre, the bridesmaid from London. Somehow, Nonso manages to propose by accident, while on a dinner date, and sets off a chain of events too powerful to stop.
According to the figures released in an announcement made on Sunday by Ebonylife Production at the Sky Lounge, Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, The Wedding Party is now the highest grossing Nigerian movie with total box office takings now in excess of N450 million.
For the Nigerian movie industry, the year has not been short of surprise box office hits despite the odds.

A compilation of natural comedians but the presence of Sola Sobowale takes comedy to a unique level. She is bold, well-rounded and even when she is not trying, we are laughing because as a professional she understands what to do and by that she completes the vision of this film.
